So another painful loss in this terrible year. Our friend and fellow agility competitor Urszula Janicki lost her battle with cancer this morning.
Urszula was such fun to be around–at agility trials her exquisitely trained dogs would fly around the most difficult courses with ease, at breakneck speed, a testament to the high level of training and partnership she always cultivated in her dogs.
Besides running her dogs, Urszula was always there to help out at every trial (in multiple venues), from major jobs to the smallest details of all that needed to be done. She had a big heart–we were moved to tears when she presented us with a beautiful memorial artwork that she had made herself after Quincy passed.
She was a great mentor, supporting her fellow club members in Takes 2 to Q CPE and in AKC as well. She was everything good about agility and our community was truly lucky to have her.
May she rest in peace.
